Here is a little status update: 
Full ICS support is already finished and needs some testing on “older” device like Android 1.6 or Android 2.x!
Most features i wanted to add to this release are added and needs also some testing.
Now i am adding the last “bigger” feature to COL Reminder before release.
If it’s done i need some beta tester because i have changed a lot of code lines in this release.

COL Reminder and COL SMS Responder is only being developed in the spare time by me and it’s really a lot of work.

After activation the app should be installed but you want to remove only the app icon in the launcher.

Here is how you can to this:

Hint:
“com.colapps.reminder” stands for the package name.
“com.colapps.reminder.LauncherActivity” stands for the Activity name.

Please read carefully before using this code:

• the disabled component will not be launchable in any way
• the icon will only disapper when the launcher is restarted, normally on the next reboot of the phone

Version 1.0 was release in the Android Market after about 1 year development in my spare time.

Since 2009 until end 2011 COL Reminder is grown from a litte reminder tool with less function to a big reminder tool with a lot of features.

I always tried hard to make COL Reminder easy to use and with a lot of function. I hope it was successfull.

In Version 2.x there was a design change and a complete rewrite of the application.

A new icon, colors, layout changes and a lot of new features.

COL Reminder 2.231 is now available in 32 langauges !!

COL Reminder 1.0 was available in only 2 languages!

Here are some statistic details.

Phone models:

First new feature is the 1×1 Widget for all donators.
This is how it look like:

Its a homescreen app icon with a counter badge of active reminders.
Refreshes on every change in COL Reminder.
I’ve tried my best that it looks like as the original homescreen icons.

Second new big Feature is the ability to create shortcuts on your homescreen.
How can you do that?
Simple long tap on your homescreen and select “Shortcuts”.
Select “COL Reminder” in the popup.
Now you can select beetween 4 shortcuts for COL Reminder:

• Active Reminders
• Misc. Reminder
• Parking Reminder
• Phone Reminder

After selection hit OK and you see your shortcut on the homescreen.
Every time you tap on it, it opens the previous selected category instead of the main screen.

The third cool feature is the “Share” function.
COL Reminder now supports the share option of Android.
All apps who are supporting the share function now have “COL Reminder” in the list of available apps.
For example:
You are surfing the web and want to share the url (for remembering later) with COL Reminder.
Tap on “share” in the browser and select COL Reminder. The url is sent automatically to COL Reminder Misc Reminder.
Set time to remember and hit “Remind Me” !
